Scotland’s Public Sector Personal Data for Public Benefit

Hi all.
I’ve been invited and accepted a role on the following group:
“Independent Expert Group on the Citizen-Centred Approach to Unlocking the Value of Scotland’s Public Sector Personal Data for Public Benefit”
Commissioned by the Cabinet Secretary for Finance and the Economy and the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care of the Scottish Government.

The purpose of the group is to aid decision-making by data controllers regarding the release of, or provision of access to, public sector personal data by the private sector, for public benefit.
Papers etc. will be on the gov.scot website in due course, and I’ll add a link here once it’s up.

Anything you want me to be aware, please let me know!
Best, Ruchir.

Did you know that Scottish Government has a public website dedicated to openly sharing developments as they develop, particularly in the digital and data policy space? It takes the form of a blog site, including guest blogs from non-officials and you can also add comments to these blogs,
