Hello everyone,
We’re delighted to share a couple of updates with the network related to the recently published Participation Framework.
The Open Government team are pleased to share that the Participation Framework, which was developed as part of Scotland’s Open Government action plan commitments to improve the way people are involved in policy-making and service delivery, is now publicly available.
The Framework has been created to support Scottish Government staff to plan high quality and inclusive participatory work, and to help make the process of government participatory activity more transparent.
This is now a publicly available resource which means stakeholders and potential participants can inform themselves about Scottish Government’s approach, whilst also considering where the Framework could potentially support in their own contexts.
With this in mind, would like to encourage network members to:
engage with the Framework and think about where it could support in your context
share and promote more widely amongst your networks if relevant and;
get in touch if you would like to connect further on the PF
Participation Framework - are you interested in making Scottish Government more participative and inclusive?
We recognise there is always more we can do to support inclusive participation, and with this in mind the Open Government team at Scottish Government will update the Framework on an ongoing basis to ensure Scottish Government is at the forefront of best practise.
As a first step in this process, the team have commissioned a series of workshops to gain critical reflections on the Framework from stakeholders and members of the public on how we can improve coverage of equalities and inclusive practice in the Participation Framework.
We would love to hear from members of the network if you would be interested in providing your thoughts, experiences or feedback. If you are able to attend any of the dates below, please do register your interest using the link below.
