Firestarter Festival 2020 is kicking off at the end of this month, with a programme packed with really exciting events! I’d encourage you to have a look through the whole programme for topics that interest you, but I also wanted to highlight the two sessions that we’re involved with organising:
The first is an event on Kindness in Procurement, taking place on 7th of Feb. Join us to explore how we can embed kindness in commissioning and procurement process, and use this to deliver better outcomes for people and communities.
On the 14th of Feb, we’ll be running an event examining how deliberative methods and participatory democracy are currently used across Scotland’s public sector. We’ll be asking how well we’re currently making use of these techniques, and discuss how we can create a system which utilises them most effectively to serve the public.
These should both be really interesting sessions - it’d be great to see some of you there!
