Declaration refresh

Hi all,

As you may remember back in 2020 Open Data Manchester launched the co-created Declaration for Responsible and Intelligent Data Practice. The Declaration was a ‘place-based’ approach to understanding and dealing with the challenges and opportunities of data and digital technologies and what organisations using these technologies should consider when applying them. The Declaration was created through a process of engagement and co-design across public, private, academic and voluntary and civil society organisations and in a sense was unique at the time.

Fast forward three years and we are now in the process of refreshing the Declaration to accommodate new developments and practice, and although it was developed for the people of Greater Manchester, the process was an open one and the ‘statement of intent’ created was there for others to adapt, adopt and reuse.

Please share with anyone who might be interested in participating. More information here Declaration refresh workshops | Eventbrite
