I co-organised the Sottish Open Data Unconference on 5th - 6th November. We ran 31 sessions the last of which was one to agree a statement on the commons themes and issues of the two days.
We’ve posted that statement on the website of Code The City, a charity which i co-founded and run, which uses tech and data for civic good.
This distillation seeks to highlight the importance of open data, and to paint an agreed position on the current Scottish Open Data landscape and what we need from various groups, most significantly from government.
We hope that it will spark debate and, more importantly, action from government.
