Ireland has launched an Implementation Plan for the Sustainable Development Goals. Tune in to this webinar to find out more about the process and what the Plan entails.
In September 2015 UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon announced: “I am pleased to share some good news for people and planet”. The good news? After three years of negotiations and debate, 193 countries had agreed to a set of development goals more bold and ambitious than anything that has come before them. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals provide a vision of a better world where humanity lives well, but within the planetary boundaries, whilst leaving no-one behind.
In this webinar, Michael Ewing from Environmental Pillar will reveal how Ireland has embraced this new Agenda for Sustainable Development. Coalition 2030 – and its many civil society member organisations – have been working together, building alliances, and developing a working relationships with other social partners and with government. Michael will share his experiences of being involved in Coalition 2030, as well as offering his perspectives on Ireland’s first Implementation Plan for the Sustainable Development Goals.
