Upcoming events

Hi all,

With the pre-election period now behind us, I’m delighted to be able to draw your attention to a couple of events taking place in the next few weeks which may be of interest to you:

Open Government Action Plan workshop with OECD
On behalf of the Scottish OGP Steering Group, we would like to invite you to a workshop on 17th May (14:00 - 16:30) to discuss how we can take advantage of the strategic potential offered by Scotland’s next Open Government Action plan.

At this workshop, Alessandro Bellatoni, Head of Open Government for the OECD, will set out the OECD’s vision for how Open Government should be applied to longer term thinking across public service to create the Open State. Mélanie Robert, Executive Director for Open Government at the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat, will share how Canada’s Open Government journey has progressed.

This will be followed by an introduction to Scotland’s current work from both the government and a civil society perspectives and a discussion on how the strategic potential offered by the action plan can be realised collaboratively.

Please email madeleine.fleming@gov.scot to recieve the link to access this event. Hope you’re able to join us!
