For the last decade the UK Open Government Network (UK OGN) has taken civil society into the heart of the UK government.
Hundreds of reformers have worked with civil servants on dozens of policy commitments to make how we are governed better.
It is a process created by the now 76 country Open Government Partnership (OGP) and has been championed by Presidents and Prime Ministers alike over the years, including our own.
But as we approach the development of a new National Action Plan, the steering committee requires renewal too.
We are particularly keen to ensure we bring more diverse and under-represented voices together.
Yet time is against us.
To this end, the existing committee would like to invite applications from those interested in joining us for an interim six month period, following this, there will be full elections. This will include existing elected committee members.
If successful, it will mean you play a leading role in the development of the next UK National Action Plan for Open Government.
It will mean you attend meetings with representatives from the UK government and are part of the 76 country strong Open Government Partnership.
But above all, it will mean you can make a difference to the way we are governed.
Involvement will require around 2-4 hours per month and potentially five places are up for grabs.
If you are interested, please complete this very short form by midnight on Tuesday 25th April. If you are struggling with the deadline, please let us know as soon as possible.
You will then be contacted by a member of the steering committee (who will determine successful applicants).
