Launch of formal consultation on the Data Strategy for Health and Social Care

Digital approaches to health and care and the data that drives it has been vital to how we’ve continued to deliver services throughout the pandemic and offers opportunities to support our plans for remobilisation. As part of the refreshed Digital Health and Care Strategy we committed to publishing Scotland’s first ever Data Strategy.

The Digital Health and Care directorate have, and continue to, undertake a broad range of engagement with stakeholders and the public to support the development the Data Strategy. A key part of our engagement is to undertake a formal public consultation. We are pleased to inform you that we have launched our formal consultation today, which can be accessed at: Data Strategy for health and social care - Scottish Government - Citizen Space

The consultation will run from Monday the 16th of May until 5pm on Friday the 12th of August. Throughout the period the consultation is open the Digital Health and Care directorate will continue to run bespoke engagements with health and care professionals, third sector advocacy groups and the public.

We would very much welcome your support in raising awareness of this consultation via your networks, social media and newsletters. We would also like to invite you to submit a response to the consultation if you feel it is appropriate to do so.
